N.C. Governor McCrory Distraught Over Losing South Of The Border Expansion To S.C.

McCrory

Raleigh, NC – An anonymous political activist discretely captured a now-viral photo of North Carolina governor Pat McCrory sporting a defeated reaction to being privately informed of some breaking news.

While online speculation has followed the conventional wisdom that McCrory was distressed over a recent 4th Circuit Court ruling on transgender bathroom discrimination, reporters for Teh State have learned that, in fact, he was reacting to news the long-awaited expansion of the South Of The Border thematic destination park will remain in South Carolina.

Speculation among the real estate and development community in Raleigh was that South Of The Border would choose to expand northward, across the North Carolina border, bringing in hundreds of millions of dollars in infrastructure development funds as well as untold future tax windfalls for the state in the form of increased tourism.

Officials representing South Of The Border have remained tight-lipped over their growth plans, but privately remain committed to their longstanding relationship with South Carolina’s Corridor of Shame.
